Adam M. Smolen, President/CEO
Adam Smolen founded The Quantum Group in 1996 and has built the firm around relationships, resources and reputation. His core expertise is the use of life insurance to mitigate taxation and protect the assets of ultra high net worth (UHNW) individuals and families, highly paid executives and professional athletes. He is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Top of the Table, an annual accomplishment that places him in the top 1% of insurance brokers nationwide. He is also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Baltimore Estate Planning Council and Advisors in Philanthropy. He has held or currently holds licenses in the following areas of expertise: Series 4 (Options Principal), Series 6 (Mutual Funds), Series 7 (Registered Representative), Series 63 (Blue Sky Laws), Series 65 (Registered Investment Advisor) Life & Health, and Property & Casualty.
Born and raised in the Baltimore Metropolitan area of Maryland, Mr. Smolen has made his home there and established himself as a respected member of the community. His dedication to his family and friends is one of his greatest attributes. His interest in philanthropy has led him to be instrumental in raising funds and awareness for many charitable organizations.
Max Reamer, Advisor
Max Reamer provides comprehensive insurance solutions for business owners, professionals, and families utilizing wealth creation, wealth preservation and tax mitigation strategies. Prior to joining The Quantum Group Max spent 5 years at Northwestern Mutual. Max holds a Maryland Life and Health producer license along with Series 6 and Series 63 securities licenses.
Max was born and raised in Baltimore and is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland where he played four years of varsity lacrosse. Max currently resides in downtown Baltimore. He is an active member in the community and is a committee member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation where he was named a “Maryland Finest” in 2015. Max is also a member of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council where he is on the committee for their Emerging Planners program.
Mysty D. Edrington, Executive Assistant & Director of Operations
Mysty joined The Quantum Group in 2001 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations inclusive of, but not limited to, new business processing, client communication and relationship management of the underwriting staff and all insurance companies. Mysty has extensive experience in the Life, Long Term Care and Disability insurance industry since 1998 and holds her Life and Health license since 2003. Prior to joining The Quantum Group, Mysty worked with multiple brokers on the east coast as a New Business Coordinator at Berkshire Life and a sales assistant at MONY.
Outside of The Quantum Group, Mysty is very passionate about fitness and holds a Personal Training and Cycle Certification. She enjoys working with people in her spare time to achieve their fitness goals. She has been instrumental in raising money for various charities such as American Cancer Society and the Brigance Brigade Foundation (ALS).
Mysty was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and loves cheering on the home teams; Go Orioles and Ravens!
